Funny enough, but our trip to Cornwall, did cost us a bit, more than we have expected. While we have enjoyed our holidays to Cornwall.
Now let’s start how we decided to visit Cornwall, this was my idea to visit this beautiful corner in England. I always was impressed by stunning images that have been taken by other who shared them in social media sites. And I have decided, that is my time now to visit Cornwall.
How long we stayed ? We have stayed there around 8 day. And we got there by driving. We live in North Yorkshire, and took us around 10 hours. Very long drive!
So that’s basically our first day travelling, Monday very early in the morning, and we have arrived very late at cottage we have booked through AirBnB. We have booked the place for couple of days, from 5th August until 8th August which cost us a bit, which is £452.57. A bit expensive for 5 days.
The second day which is Tuesday, we have spent the day travelling in the town, we visited couple of nice beaches, tried some ice-creams and also went out. What can I say, really expensive town.
Below are the expenses for second day.
As you can see from the picture, eating out is expensive in Cornwall, But when you want to travel, you don’t really want to cook and spend time in the kitchen, better to travel and seeing places.
Now moving to the second day. We have traveled and saw other places. Photo attached:
As you can see from the photo, we have travelled a bit from Newquay, to other places and beaches. We have seen couple of nice beaches, and still wanted to see more, but we couldn’t, the days were too short to visit everything. And this day when we travelled was really moody, and cold, and when is cold you don’t really want to go out.
So that day, we spent an other £165 for eating out fuel, sadly this money were spent by my wife :D, as I was in overdraft.
Next day, we decided to visit Eden Project in Cornwall, someone have recommended to visit this place, so we have decided to visit this location while there.
Very nice place to visit, so we have stoped at Morrisons to fill up and buy some food, which we have spent around £40. But also, spent £76 for tickets for 2 adults. I believe this was too expensive for what we have seen, while we liked the place, the price is overpriced. As said, nice place but we wouldn’t visit it again because is really expensive. There were some shops inside an outside, we have purchased some food to eat and also some ice creams, the price there is reasonable.
Next day we booked out from Newquay, and moved to a flat that I booked and wanted to make a surprise to my wife as anniversary from our wedding, the place I have booked cost me: £400 for 2 nights, after check in, we have visited other places.
The new flat we have booked, was really beautiful, well, you can imagine the flat that cost £200 a night, and I was lucky, because I nearly lost this deal and the real price was £550 for 2 nights. Anyway, that day we had to do some shopping and eating out that day we have spent £173,26. Very expensive day. But we have visited some nice places.
You always can check my main portfolio, website: https://iskymedia.io
Last day of our Holidays, we’ve been to St.Ives, sadly an other moody day, not many images been taken due of the weather.
And as last day we spent £68.55 eating out. That’s an other expense.
Anyway, here are the final calculations from our trip in Cornwall.
All together £1.375.38 , Please note,as my wife has spent some money in this trip as well, which aren’t calculated here. And after this holidays for 1 week, we came to a end opinion that it could cost us way much cheaper to go holidays abroad.
Thanks a lot for reading this post. 😉
