Reading Time: 8 minutes

How many times you heard about Cornwall, the beauty corner of UK? I guess you heard quite lots of time.

In this post I want to share with you places I have visited in Cornwall, and also what places I would recommend to visit in Cornwall.

You also can read on an other post regarding how much I spend on my trip in Cornwall.

How much cost us the trip to Cornwall?

The Cornwall, is a really beautiful place to visit, with lots of nice sandy beaches, it’s worth visiting only during the summer. Highly to be avoided to visit during the winter, as it’s get cold, rainy and lots of fog around.

Let’s start with the first place I visited in Cornwall and recommend for visiting.

  • Newquay

Very lovely town, with very nice and sandy beaches. Beautiful architecture as well. There are also lot’s of nice restaurants too, however, these can be pricey. But the town is very touristic place, due of the popular beach, called Towan Beach. What I liked about this beach is the small island, and on that small island, there is a house, the only thing that connect that little island to the rest of the land, is only a small bridge. Really stunning place, and much nicer to see it in real life.  The beach can be very busy, especially during the summer. An other beach I would recommend to visit in Newquay, is the Porth Beach. It is a long beach, and there is car park nearby as well, bit pricey. But the beach is nice.

Actually, I have flown my drone here, I took some beautiful images using my drone. From above actually you can see the stunning waves on the beach.

An other nice beach in Newquay, is Fistral Beach, it located on an other side of Porth Beach. I didn’t had a chance to visit fully that beach, however I flown my drone over the beach, not much due of strong storm at the time. But from above, did look very beautiful.

A scenic beach view featuring cliffs on either side, with people walking on the sandy shore. The ocean is calm and blue, and a bridge can be seen in the distance. Lush greenery adorns the cliffs, and a clear blue sky completes the picturesque scene.
Aerial view of a coastal harbor with sandy beach, boats moored in the water, and a picturesque town in the background. The scene features clear blue skies and lush green fields in the distance, showcasing a vibrant seaside atmosphere.

So this place has 5/5 stars, and I do recommend visiting.

  • Tintagel

This is a very nice, lovely and small village in Cornwall. The reason I have visited this town, is because I wanted to see the Legend of King Arthur statue. Sadly when I go there with my wife, I was shocked how much they have tried to charge us for just to claim up the hill and see the statue. If I am not wrong, they asked us around £65 for 2 tickets. Obviously I have refused as this is way too much money for just seing something which can be seen on google. So we just visited the town which was lovely, we even stopped at local pub to eat something, again prices were expensive, but when you hungry, and your on holiday, you kind of have no choice :D.

I took some images of the coast and the beach, also managed to fly my drone to take some photos too.

Aerial view of a coastal landscape featuring cliffs, a winding road, and the ocean. The scene captures the rugged terrain and lush greenery, with waves crashing against the rocks. The sky is overcast, adding a dramatic atmosphere to the serene setting.
A scenic beach view with people enjoying the sandy shore, surrounded by rocky cliffs and lush greenery. The turquoise waves gently lap at the beach, creating a tranquil atmosphere.
A scenic view of a bridge spanning a rocky gorge under a bright blue sky filled with fluffy white clouds. The landscape features green vegetation on the cliffs.

To this place, I will give 2/5 stars, due of expensive tickets to just see the statue

  • St.Ives

An other great and small village to visit in Cornwall, was St.Ives, which I decided that we can visit. Sadly the weather wasn’t great that day, and we couldn’t stay much longer there. Only couple of hours. The first impression of this village was the beach and the location. We did walk quite a lot get to the seaside. The roads in town were so small, that we had to walk in the middle of the roads with pushchair.  I liked that there were so many boats. Despite of being rainy day, I was surprised how many people still were walking on the streets, and visiting shops. We have stopped at the local restaurant for quick food, and after we have continued our journey.

The village is worth visiting if you nearby, has lots of souvenir shops, nice beach  and good restaurants. If you love photography, then I would highly recommend for visiting this place. I really wanted to fly my drone to take some images, but again, due of weather, that wasn’t ideal. But I took lots of images using my camera. Some are below.

A picturesque coastal scene featuring a sandy beach at low tide, dotted with various boats. In the background, charming houses and a stone arch bridge are visible under a colorful sky with fluffy clouds. People stroll along the beach, enjoying the serene atmosphere.
A coastal scene featuring a sandy beach under a cloudy sky. The horizon shows a calm sea with boats in the distance and a lighthouse visible. People are scattered along the beach, and the shoreline is lined with stone walls.

To this place, I will give  4/5 stars. Most because I wasn’t able to fly my drone :D.

  • Cape Cornwall.

We stopped at this location for only couple of hours, after I checked online that has beautiful lighthouse and stunning view. I was lucky as we have been given free parking on the place, because they didn’t accept credit cards payments. Anyway, the location is really small and nice. Apart from the top hill and lighthouse, there’s not a lot to view.

Aerial view of a rugged coastline with rocky cliffs and clear blue waters. The landscape features green hills in the background and waves crashing against the rocks, showcasing the natural beauty of the coastal environment.
Aerial view of a rugged coastline featuring rocky cliffs, crashing waves, and a lighthouse on a hill. The landscape includes green fields and a small village, with the ocean in vibrant shades of blue and turquoise.

To this place, I will give 3/5 stars. Because there’s not a lot to see, however there’s stunning view.

  • Land’s End

This was really really stunning place. Very touristic place, when I have arrived, the car par was nearly full, due of tourists. Anyway, on arrival at the entrance there are lots of souvenir shops, which you can buy some souvenirs from there. These are bit expensive, but that’s because of its stunning location. When you walk down the coast, there are some small rock islands, which give a beautyfull view during the sunset. I spent all day there, we even had some food, which was free, a bit luck as the guy with the food, had to close down, and he didn’t want to throw away the food.

At the time, there was ice creams shops too, and if you wanted to take images with the Land’s End post, you had to pay money and there was a photographer who did took photos of tourists. I took some nice images at this location, including aerial photos. And was very please of the location and what I’ve seen there. At the end, I’ve spend nearly £100 on souvenirs. Obviously, I don’t think I will be visiting this place again in the near future.

A signpost at Land’s End, England, showing distances to various locations including New York and John O’Groats. The date ‘9th August 2024’ is prominently displayed, indicating a special event.

Aerial view of a coastal village with buildings near the shore, surrounded by green hills and a blue ocean. The scene captures the beauty of nature and human settlement by the sea, with a parking area and pathways visible.
Aerial view of a rocky coastline with a small island in the ocean. The water is shimmering under sunlight, creating a beautiful contrast with the green land and rocky formations. Waves gently crash against the shore, enhancing the natural beauty of the scene.

To this place, I will give 5/5 stars. Best location I ever visited so far in UK.

  • Penzance

This was a city which we have visited, it was our last location on our trip in Cornwall. I din’t liked the city much, reminded me of London, a bit messy around and not much to view. However, we did walk along the beach on the footpath, which was lovely, and we also saw the St. Michael’s Mount, and was impressed of this place. This is a very small island, with gardens and big castle. I didn’t had a chance to go inside or to take nice images, due of foggy day. but still loved the place, and how it was built.

It gives a breathtaking view for tourists, also is a unique experience when walking on the footpath towards the Castle. But if you planning to visit this place, I would highly recommend to visit it during the nice and sunny day. When it rain, is not much to view.

A scenic view of a castle atop a hill, surrounded by lush greenery and a cloudy sky. In the foreground, people stroll along a sandy beach, with boats moored in the water.
A scenic waterfront promenade with people walking, enjoying the view. The sky is overcast, and buildings line the shore, creating a charming coastal atmosphere.

To this place, I will give 4/5 stars. Only because of St. Michael’s Mount.

Now, I want to share with you some beaches from Cornwall, that I have visited and I would recommend to you to visit it as well.

Par beach– Located between the coast of Cornwall, it is nice sandy beach. There is car park and the walk distance to the beach is around 5 minutes. Not far at all, and if you hungry there is some small caffe located in the car park.

Towan Beach– That’s the beach in Newquay, during the summer is full with locals and tourists. It is nice and lovely beach. If you visit Newquay, then fore sure you can’t miss this beach.

Porth Beach– Long beach, and a bit of walk to get to the sea. Between rocky coast, give a breathtaking view of the sea and the beach. There is car park, if you decide to drive to the location. It is not far from Newquay anyways.
